Dedham Storytellers
Check out an amazing history-sharing program among older adult graduates of Dedham High School and current students.  The program, run by Dedham High School teacher Michael Medeiros,  includes a field trip to the Dedham Historical Society as well as  a luncheon celebration at the Endicott Estate.  The completed work of the students is compiled into a book which is then archived at the Dedham Historical Society.
Contact Michael here for more details and find Video Coverage here.

The 2nd Annual Volunteer Fair
The 2nd Annual Volunteer Fair was held during the community celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 20, 2020. You can view local volunteer opportunities here.

Intergenerational Summer Camp 2019

Livable Dedham partnered with the Dedham Community House Teen Camp and the Tufts Health Plan Foundation to focus the Camp’s community service and civic engagement on age friendly initiatives – making our community a great place to grow up and grow old. Over the course of the summer, campers learned about Dedham's (and the world’s) aging population and explored solutions to challenges such as transportation, communication, volunteer opportunities and programs/activities for older adults.

Spring Housing Series 2019

Dwelling on the Future: Taking Stock of Dedham's Neighborhood Housing Need

Livable Dedham aims to help Dedham residents of all ages and abilities have access to high quality, affordable housing, and community-based support services. Livable Dedham hosted the 2019 Housing Series to build awareness, encourage discussion, and create momentum around increasing housing options in Dedham, where 41% of residents are projected to be age 55+ by 2030. See coverage of Livable Dedham's Spring Housing series here.
