The Ferraras
Ron and Laura Ferrara were new to Dedham 35 years ago. During that time they’ve been inspiration to their neighbors as examples of healthy aging. We see them doing vigorous yard work and chores for hours around their immaculate home. We watch them regularly drive off to their respective gyms early in the morning as we went off to work. And as we lock our doors some weeknights, we see them coming home from ballroom dancing in another town. Over the years, they have accumulated many friends and interests. Most recently, Ron and Laura can be found at many of the new activities at the Dedham Senior Center. They love the trips to the State House, shows and restaurants; they also take advantage of water aerobics, Zumba and other fitness programs recently added.
Ron and Laura are an inspiration to many Dedhamites as role models for active aging. After 62 years of marriage, they still have a zest for life and that spark of love so evident in this photograph.
